Islamabad ( city reporter) Ayub Mariani, President of the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industries, while giving budget proposals, said that moving new manufacturers’ refund claims to the Faster System will increase exports. He added that the condition of LRO and RTO approval discourages new sales tax registrations. The registration process for manufacturers and exporters should be completed within two weeks through automation. New manufacturers should be directly entertained through the Faster System, which will increase exports.President Ayub Mariani said that before the Finance Act 2024, sales tax registration was online and automated, but now sales tax registration is subject to the approval of the LRO and the relevant Regional Tax Office. He stated that this unnecessary measure has made the registration process very complicated for taxpayers and this condition will discourage new sales tax registrations.
