Islamabad (NNP) Minister for Small Industries, Trade, and Travel Authority, Professor Taqdees Gilani, undertook a significant visit to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce upon their invitation. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen ties and explore avenues of cooperation between the two entities.
During her visit, Professor Taqdees Gilani was graciously received by the President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Fahad Waheed, who provided her with a comprehensive briefing on various aspects of commerce and industry. The discussion notably revolved around the organization of a business exhibition, aimed at promoting trade and showcasing the products of small industries.
In attendance were distinguished personalities including the President of Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industries, Mr. Khurshid Barlas, along with notable figures such as Engineer Zafarul Islam, Sheikh Mohammad Ejaz, Chaudhry Maqsood Tabish, and Zafar Bakhtawari, among others.
A significant outcome of the meeting was the decision to allocate a permanent display center to Islamabad Chamber of Commerce Small Industries Corporations Azad Kashmir. This move is in line with the vision of Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar Haq to bolster small industries and enhance the efficacy of the Trade and Travel Authority.
Expressing her views, Minister Taqdees Gilani emphasized the importance of such initiatives in line with the government’s agenda for economic growth and development. She reiterated the commitment to actively promote small industries and ensure the effective functioning of the Trade and Travel Authority.
