Uzbekistan Strongly Condemns Attempted Drone Attack Targeting Holy City of Makkah
TASHKENT: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has strongly condemned the attempted attack involving an unmanned aerial vehicle targeting the holy city of Makkah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.Uzbekistan expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, stressing that any actions threatening holy sites, civilians or civilian infrastructure are unacceptable.
The ministry called on all sides to exercise maximum restraint, strictly adhere to international law, and respect the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of states.Uzbekistan also reaffirmed its support for efforts to reduce tensions, prevent further escalation of the conflict, and promote peace, security and stability in the region.
