Pakistan’s Economic Future in Focus at LIIBS 2026

ISLAMABAD, September 15, 2026: The 9th edition of the Leaders in Islamabad Business Summit (LIIBS), organized by Nutshell Group, will be held on September 17 at a local hotel in Islamabad.This year’s summit, themed “The Next Move,” will bring together federal ministers, representatives of international organizations and leading business executives to discuss Pakistan’s economic, technological and geopolitical direction.Following last year’s theme, “Navigating the Unknown,” the 2026 summit will shift its focus from uncertainty to practical action, exploring Pakistan’s next steps in the economic, strategic and technological spheres and the key stakeholders who will shape the country’s future.

The summit will open with a session titled “The Next Move: Reading the Moment.” Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb will deliver the opening address, while Minister of State for Finance and Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani, Federal Minister and Prime Minister’s Adviser on Privatization Muhammad Ali, and ACCA Global Executive Director Lucia Real Martin will deliver keynote addresses.The day-long event will feature five sessions covering geopolitics and geoeconomics, business and technology, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, capital and finance, and Pakistan’s strategic choices.The final session, titled “Pakistan’s Moment of Choice,” will feature former Caretaker Prime Minister Senator Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Senator Dr. Musadik Masood Malik, former Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Pakistan Business Council Chairman Ziad Bashir, Jazz World CEO Aamir Ibrahim and The Express Tribune Executive Director Fahd Hussain.
