ISLAMABAD: Shazia Marri, a central leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices made by the Christian community in support of the party. During a meeting with a delegation from Islamabad led by Christian leader Rashid Chauhan, Marri highlighted the invaluable contributions of the Christian community, emphasizing that the PPP takes great pride in their enduring commitment.
“The People’s Party will never forget the sacrifices of the Christian community, which has stood by us in every challenging moment,” Marri stated, reaffirming the PPP’s recognition of the community’s role in Pakistan’s progress.
Rashid Chauhan, in his address, reaffirmed the Christian community’s steadfast support for the party, pledging to stand by the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and Asifa Bhutto for the continued development and prosperity of minorities. He highlighted various initiatives taken by the PPP during its tenure, which positively impacted minority communities, and expressed hope for further progress under the dynamic leadership of Bilawal and Asifa Bhutto.
The meeting further solidified the Christian community’s alliance with the PPP, as both parties looked towards a future of growth and unity.
