An alarming increase in the number of out-of-school children in Pakistan

The number of out-of-school children in Pakistan has increased alarmingly.
In this regard, Pakistan Institute of Education says that about 26.2 million children are out of school in Pakistan.
PIE said that more than 11 million children are deprived of education in Punjab while more than 7 million children are out of schools in Sindh.
According to the Pakistan Institute of Education, more than 3.6 million children in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and more than 3.1 million children in Balochistan are deprived of education. In Islamabad, about 80,000 children are out of school, 39 percent of school-age children. Currently out of school.
In 2016-17, the number of out-of-school children was 44 percent, in 2021-22, 39 percent of children were deprived of education, at the higher secondary level, 60 percent of children were out of school in 2021-22.
