Serena Hotels Hosts ‘Pankh

November 06, 2026 – Islamabad: Pakistan needs a human resource pipeline that can envision transformative reform and has the skills and experience to implement it. To propel this mission, Teach For Pakistan (TFP) hosted ‘Pankh – The Power to Rise’, a fundraiser with Serena Hotels’ sponsorship, at Islamabad Serena Hotel.
“Pakistan’s youth are the strongest ambassadors for its growth. Teach For Pakistan helps them realise that potential, and we are proud to stand with them. Through our Public Diplomacy programme, Serena Hotels opens its doors to the causes that shape the young and talented people of Pakistan.” said Aziz Boolani, Chief Executive Officer, Serena Hotels.

Teach For Pakistan is a non-profit organization, working to expand educational opportunities for children across Pakistan. Every year, it recruits and develops talented university graduates and young professionals, placing them as Fellows in under-resourced schools for a two-year commitment. Through this experience, TFP Fellows become purpose-driven leaders who go on to drive lasting change in education, policy, and social development.
“Beyond the classroom, our growing community of Alumni continues to work collectively toward a more equitable and prosperous Pakistan, ensuring that every child, regardless of circumstance, has the chance to discover and realize their full potential,” Said Khadija Bakhtiar, Founder & CEO, Teach For Pakistan, in her opening address.
Renowned actor Fawad Khan hosted the evening. He said the TFP Fellowship is a conscious choice by the few and the brave who place themselves within the ecosystem of inequity to understand and change it. He said the public-private partnership is producing impact, transforming schools and closing the achievement gap for children from under-resourced communities. He urged the audience and Pakistanis at home and abroad to support the broader reform process and join the TFP movement for equity.
The evening also featured a musical performance by renowned singer Zeb Bangash, adding a special touch to the gathering. Her soulful performance created a memorable atmosphere, bringing together music and the shared spirit of supporting educational opportunities for children across Pakistan.
“To visit the school witness the dedication and love of the fellows for the students and also see its impact on the students has truly moved me. Two years is not a long time, and yet, this organization and everyone involved in it are changing the landscape of education in this country, and with it, the future of our children. It is a wonderful initiative, and I am just so grateful to have been a part of it.” Shared Zeb Bangash.

The event was attended by nearly 300 leaders from the business community, diplomatic corps, and civil society who pledged to support equitable education and leadership development. 100% of proceeds raised will directly fund Teach For Pakistan’s Fellowship Program.
