Chromatic, a non-profit organization committed to promoting public health through advocacy and awareness, successfully hosted its 4th Annual Social Media Conference on Tobacco Control in Islamabad. The event brought together more than 15 distinguished speakers and experts, alongside over 60 digital influencers and young content creators, creating a powerful and youth-driven platform for dialogue on tobacco control in Pakistan.
The conference covered a wide range of topics—from emerging tobacco products like e-cigarettes and nicotine pouches, to advertising tactics, taxation reforms, regulatory policy, and the urgent need for tobacco prevention education. The discussions sparked critical conversations that are not only timely, but essential to countering the growing influence of the tobacco industry on youth through digital platforms.
One of the highlights of the event was the participation of Chromatic’s Youth Champions, who shared personal stories of advocacy and community engagement. Their voices reflected a rising wave of youth leadership determined to create real change—both online and on the ground.
As World No Tobacco Day on May 31 approaches, the conference served as more than just an event—it was a call to action. With the power of social media and youth mobilization, stakeholders committed to amplifying young voices and building momentum for a healthier, smoke-free Pakistan.
