Islamabad: The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan, in collaboration with the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), has launched a photo album and exhibition titled “Uzbekistan Through the Lens of Pakistani Photographers” at the PNCA National Art Gallery, Islamabad.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Mr. Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, as the chief guest. He was joined by Mr. Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Mr. Alisher Tukhtaev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, along with prominent figures from politics, diplomacy, arts, and media.
The exhibition features striking photographic works by renowned Pakistani photographers M. Azhar Hafeez, Ramzan Mughal, Shahid Qureshi, Tariq Sulemani, and Gulrez Ghauri, offering a visual narrative of Uzbekistan’s rich culture, historical heritage, and scenic landscapes through diverse artistic perspectives.
On the occasion, Ambassador Alisher Tukhtaev presented a souvenir shield to Mr. M. Ayoub Jamali, Director General PNCA, in recognition of his support and collaboration in successfully organizing the exhibition.
The exhibition is open to the public until 22 December 2025 at Gallery No. 2, PNCA, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, except Saturdays. The event reflects the growing cultural cooperation and people-to-people connections between Pakistan and Uzbekistan through the medium of art and photography.
