Seminar Highlights Women’s Role in Pakistan’s Economic Growth

Lahore: A thought-provoking seminar on women’s economic empowerment was organized by the Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman Memorial Society (Jang Group) under the leadership of Mr. Wasif Nagi, Chairman and Senior Editor Jang, in collaboration with the Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry Lahore Division (WCCIL) and the Ex-Servicemen Society.The session was chaired by Ms. Falahat Imran, President WCCIL, and focused on “The Role of Women Chambers and Working Women in Pakistan’s Success.” Honourable Minister for Housing, Mr. Bilal Yasin, attended the event as Chief Guest and emphasized the importance of women’s participation in national development and economic stability.

Prominent representation from WCCIL included Senior Vice President Ms. Faiza Nabeel, Executive Member Ms. Shaista Khawar (SK), Ms. Saima Iqbal, and the General Secretary of ADAP, along with representatives of various women chambers and leading businesswomen. Participants shared experiences, insights, and recommendations to strengthen women’s leadership in business and entrepreneurship.The seminar concluded with a strong message highlighting the critical role of women leaders in driving economic empowerment, sustainable growth, and Pakistan’s overall progress.
