Romanian Defence Delegation Calls on Pakistan Navy Chief, Reviews Avenues for Enhanced Cooperation

Islamabad, February 4, 2026:A high-level Romanian defence delegation, led by Lieutenant General Liviu Mihail Iancu, Deputy Head of the Department of Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations at the Romanian Ministry of National Defence, paid a courtesy call on Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Navy, Vice Admiral Raja Rab Nawaz.During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral defence relations. Key areas of potential cooperation included professional training programs, port calls, joint naval exercises (PASSEXs), and high-level exchange visits.The discussions underscored the shared resolve of Romania and Pakistan to deepen defence collaboration and enhance mutual understanding between their naval forces.
