This event is of significant importance for the scientifically based planning of demographic processes, regional development, labor resources, and social infrastructure in the country. The census process is conducted in line with international standards with the application of modern digital solutions. The census is conducted this year during the period from January 15 to February 28 in two stages. At the first stage, from January 15-31, citizens may participate in the census via a specialized information system. At the second stage, from February 4 to 28, the “mahalla of seven” employees will conduct door-to-door visits and fill out forms on tablets.The online census is being conducted on census.stat.uz portal through the OneID identification system. All data are monitored using a geographic information system. To this end, geographic locations of over 7,6 million households and residential facilities have been established throughout the country, and special monitoring dashboards have been developed, allowing real-time tracking of progress. All data provided by citizens is protected in line with legal requirements, personal data is confidential, and it is used only for statistical purposes.To organize these events at a high organizational level, 14 regional and 208 district and city headquarters have been established. About 60 thousand census takers have been trained. In particular, the process involves 54 thousand “mahalla of seven” representatives, 2,6 thousand reserve employees, and 4 thousand members of the territorial headquarters. Moreover, 480 trainers from ministries and agencies have undergone training, as have 3200 volunteers from higher educational institutions.Special attention was paid to informing the population. In particular, 110 explanatory video clips and 600 TV stories have been prepared. 6,300 posts have been published on social media, and over 23,000 informational materials have been posted in crowded places and on public transport.As noted, 2,48 million households, as well as 31 thousand farms and agricultural enterprises, have been surveyed through a special portal to date.The Head of State noted the need to conduct high-quality population and agricultural censuses, ensure the reliability of data, and make extensive use of the information obtained in the development and adoption of decisions.
