ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party has nominated former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani as its candidate for Senate Chairman.
Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari approved the senior leader of the party Yousuf Raza Gilani as the candidate of Senate Chairman.
A notification regarding Yousuf Raza Gilani was issued by the Secretariat of the People’s Party Chairman. PPP seems determined to make Senate Chairman.
The party leaders say that Yusuf Raza Gilani will be elected as Senate Chairman and for this they will also contact other parties including Muslim League-N.
It should be noted that Yusuf Raza Geelani took oath as a member of the National Assembly on February 29 after winning the National Assembly seat from Multan and voted for Muslim League (N) President Shehbaz Sharif during the election of the Prime Minister in the National Assembly.
