Rawalpindi:A commanding display at Pindi Stadium, Peshawar Zalmi secured their place in the playoffs of Pakistan Super League Season 9 by defeating Quetta Gladiators with a resounding 76-run margin. Captain Babar Azam led from the front with a stellar 53-run innings as Peshawar posted a formidable total of 196/8. Aqeel Hussain’s hat-trick, the first of PSL 9, rattled the Gladiators’ batting line-up, resulting in their dismissal for just 120 runs. With this victory, Peshawar Zalmi becomes the second team to qualify for the playoffs, maintaining their record of reaching this stage in every season of the PSL.
