Pakistan team gives gifts and sweets to Australian players, their families on Christmas

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) hosted a Christmas dinner at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore as the festivities kicked off across the country with prayers and celebrations on Monday.

The dinner was attended by PCB’s Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf along with top officials of the cricket body and Christian employees.

Addressing the guests on this occasion, Ashraf said: “I extend my heartfelt greetings to all those celebrating Christmas in Pakistan and around the world. We are delighted that you are part of the Pakistan Cricket Board.”

“You have served Pakistan cricket with utmost dedication and the PCB appreciates your efforts. I hope that you and your families celebrate with joy and I wish you well,” said the PCB chairman.

On the other hand, the Pakistan team which is currently in Australia also gave gifts and sweets to fellow Aussie players on Christmas and their families.

“Warm wishes and heartfelt gifts for the Australian players and their families at the MCG indoor nets,” wrote PCB on X, formerly Twitter.
The Green Shirts are set to play the second Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) which will begin on December 26 (tomorrow).
