Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-N has demanded amendment in the election schedule without changing the polling date.

According to Express News, Pakistan Muslim League-N’s Election Cell Chairman Senator Ishaq Dar has written a letter to the Election Commission, demanding a change in the election schedule by excluding the polling day for the general elections.

In the letter written by Chairman Election Cell Pakistan Muslim League-N Ishaq Dar, it has been stated that only 3 days time has been given to submit the nomination papers. 7 days time is given for scrutiny of nomination papers. Time to submit nomination papers is very short.

According to the letter, specific documents are required to submit the nomination papers. Nomination papers may be rejected on the basis of incorrect and incomplete documents. The Election Commission has been requested to extend the dates for submission of nomination papers by at least 2 days without changing the polling date for the general elections.
