Islamabad (City Reporter) Eminent analyst Major (retd) Ijaz Ahmed has said that freedom is the only way to success. Kashmiris across the world, including Pakistan Azad Kashmir, will observe August 5 as Black Day because this day commemorates India’s illegal step under which the Modi government (August 5, 2019) revoked the special status of occupied Kashmir. Major Ijaz Ahmed said that six years have passed but Kashmiris are still shouting slogans of freedom with full force. Indian oppression and violence and state power cannot suppress the spirit of freedom of Kashmiris nor has their morale been dampened. Major (Retd) Ijaz Ahmed said that the blood and sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs will definitely pay off one day, and occupied Kashmir will be freed from Indian rule. He called on the international community, especially the United Nations, to play a serious role in the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue. The world should take immediate notice of the serious human rights violations in the occupied valley so that the oppressed Kashmiris can get justice and lasting peace can be established in the region.
