The biggest elections in Pakistan’s history will be held tomorrow, polling will start at 8 am and will continue till 5 pm.
In 855 national and four provincial assembly constituencies of the country, voters will choose their representative from the highest number of 17,816 candidates in history, 882 women candidates are in the fray, 4 eunuchs are also contesting on the general seat.
For the general elections, 90,675 polling stations have been set up across Pakistan, 27,628 sensitive and 18,437 highly sensitive polling stations.More than 500,000 security forces personnel will take over the responsibility of security, police in the first tier, then paramilitary forces and in the last tier, The Pakistan Army will perform the responsibility as a quick response force The Election Commission will use the Election Management System (EMS) to compile the results, the presiding officer will send a picture of Form 45 through EMS, the time to send Form 45 to the Returning Officer and the location will be locked on the presiding officer’s phone, form 47 of the constituency will be compiled through Form 45 in the offices of the Returning Officers. Lack of internet will not hinder EMS.
A total of 17,818 candidates, including 882 women and four transgenders, are in the fray in the national and four provincial assembly constituencies.
A total of 6,710 candidates are in the fray for The Punjab Assembly, 1,834 for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, 1,237 for the Balochistan Assembly and 2,878 for the Sindh Assembly.
