Islamabad (NNP) In a significant meeting during an Iftar gathering, renowned human rights activist Mishal Malik, wife of Kashmiri freedom fighter Yasin Malik, met with Pakistan Awami Quwat (PAQ) Chairman Khaqan Waheed Khawaja to discuss the ongoing struggle for Kashmir’s self-determination. The discussion focused on reinforcing diplomatic and humanitarian efforts to support the Kashmiri people and highlight their plight on international platforms.
Mishal Malik expressed deep appreciation for Chairman Khaqan Waheed Khawaja’s unwavering commitment to the Kashmir cause. She commended PAQ’s consistent advocacy, particularly its role in organizing the landmark February 5, 2025, rally in Islamabad, which amplified global awareness of the Kashmiri people’s struggle. He strongly criticized India’s military crackdown following the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status on August 5, 2019, stating that such oppressive measures have only strengthened the Kashmiri people’s resolve for self-determination.Both leaders agreed that sustainable peace in South Asia is contingent upon a just resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
