Important guidelines will be issued to the authorities in the meeting presided over by the Chief Election Commissioner

Islamabad:Election Commission of Pakistan called an important emergency meeting this evening. According to media reports, the sources say that the meeting will be presided over by the Chief Election Commissioner, in which the members and secretary of the Election Commission will participate. The four provincial election commissioners will participate in the meeting through video link. Sources have informed that officials of all wings of the Election Commission will also participate in the meeting. During the meeting, a final briefing will be taken on the preparations for the elections, delivery of election materials, security and polling stations. Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja will also issue important guidelines to the authorities on this occasion.
It has been learned that after completing all the preparations for the February 8 elections, the process of delivering electoral materials to the presiding officers and polling staff across the country is going on. Being provided, the polling materials are being delivered to the polling stations under police security, the delivery of the polling materials will be completed by 6 pm.

It is being told that for the general elections, 14 lakh 90 thousand election workers will perform the responsibilities for the election, 90 thousand 675 polling stations and 266 thousand 398 polling booths have been established across the country to exercise the right of the people to vote. More than 12.85 lakh 85 thousand people will be able to exercise their right to vote in the general elections, the unofficial unofficial result of each constituency will be released from the offices of the returning officers.
