Addressing the business community at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), Ambassador Abdula reminisced about the success of the inaugural trade delegation last year, emphasizing the positive outcomes and opportunities it brought forth for both nations.

The first delegation, dubbed the “Hijra Trip to Ethiopia,” witnessed the participation of over 75 Pakistani businessmen, who engaged in fruitful discussions with Ethiopian government officials and industry leaders across various sectors. Encouraged by the enthusiastic response, Ambassador Abdula urged Pakistani entrepreneurs to join the upcoming delegation and contribute to further strengthening trade ties between the two countries.

Highlighting the vast potential in Ethiopia’s economy, Ambassador Abdula showcased opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, agro-processing, manufacturing, mining, ICT, and tourism. He underscored Ethiopia’s position as a provider of affordable and sustainable energy, along with its investor-friendly policies aimed at facilitating foreign direct investment.

In reciprocation, FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh commended Ethiopia’s socio-economic progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali. Pledging full support for the Ethiopian Embassy’s initiative, Sheikh affirmed the FPCCI’s commitment to participating in the upcoming trade delegation.
