Islamabad (City Reporter) Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that the long-standing demand of the city and the people of the city will be fulfilled by giving the status of teaching hospital to Isfandyar District Hospital Attock. The dispensary established during the British era at Village Nara will also be converted into a hospital with the status of a district hospital. He expressed these views in a conversation with eminent physician Dr. Syed Fayaz Hussain Bukhari, father of martyred Captain Asfandyar. A day before Eid, in a 45-minute meeting held at the Governor House, Lahore, Dr. Fayyaz Bukhari said that while the number of doctors will be doubled if the district hospital gets teaching status, there will be no need to refer patients with complex diseases to Rawalpindi Islamabad. Dr. Fayyaz Bukhari also told Sardar Salim about the dispensary established in 1923 in village Nara that despite the passage of a century, the dispensary is the same, he said that if the dispensary is given the status of a hospital. So sixty thousand people in Nara and its surroundings can get the light of medical facilities at their doorstep. Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem praised the social and medical services of Dr. Fayyaz’s family, which are still being used by the city and the people of the city.
