Nov 4- 2025 (APP):Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Finance & Planning, Nosheen Israr has said that the “Dhee Rani” initiative was a revolutionary and welfare-oriented programme in the history of Punjab which aimed at ensuring dignified marriages for deserving girls.
She expressed these views while presiding over a meeting held in her office to review arrangements related to the programme.
During the meeting, Deputy Director Social Welfare, Haseeb Khalid, briefed the participants about the details of the initiative.
He informed that, under the special directives of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, collective marriage ceremonies would soon be organized in district under the programme, and preparations were being finalized in that regard.
It was further highlighted that Provincial Minister for Social Welfare Punjab, Sohail Shaukat Butt, would attend the ceremony as the chief guest.
The ADC directed the concerned departments to complete all arrangements at the earliest to ensure that the programme would executed in exemplary manner.
