D G khan RPO Muhammad Azhar Akram Reviews Security at Punjab–KP Border, Shares Iftar with Troops On the directions of the Chief Minister

Punjab and IG Punjab, RPO Dera Ghazi Khan Muhammad Azhar Akram conducted emergency visits to inter-provincial check posts along the Punjab–Khyber Pakhtunkhwa border, including Lakhani, Jhangi and Tarman, as well as Border Police Station Wahowa, to review security arrangements.During the visit, he carried out a detailed inspection of border routes and sensitive locations. He reviewed the deployment of personnel, vehicles, modern weapons and ammunition, bunkers, and security monitoring through thermal drones and thermal dome cameras. He directed officers to remain on high alert, ensure strict monitoring of all entry and exit points, conduct mock exercises for emergency preparedness, and strictly follow SOPs during movement.The RPO was accompanied by DPO Sadiq Baloch along with senior officials of Rangers, CTD and other departments.Mr. Akram also met local elders and residents, assuring them of full protection and continued support from the Government of Punjab. In a goodwill gesture, he interacted with children and participated in a friendly game during the visit.Later, the RPO shared a special Iftar with officers and personnel deployed at the border. He listened to their concerns and issued instructions to ensure improved residential and meal facilities for the troops.Speaking on the occasion, he said the Punjab government has provided modern weapons and necessary resources to strengthen border security and eliminate terrorism. He reaffirmed that Punjab Police remains fully alert and committed to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens while ensuring law and order at all costs.
