Acting Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan Reaffirms Pakistan’s Unwavering Support for Kashmiris on Kashmir Solidarity Day Acting Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Syedaal Khan, in his special message on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm, principled and unwavering support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their just struggle for freedom and the right to self-determination.He said that 5th February symbolizes the deep-rooted bond of brotherhood, compassion and solidarity between the people of Pakistan and the people of Kashmir. This day, he added, serves as a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s resolve that it will never abandon the Kashmiri people in their legitimate struggle.The Acting Chairman stated that for decades, the Kashmiri people have been rendering unparalleled sacrifices for freedom, dignity and their internationally recognized right to self-determination. He expressed grave concern over the ongoing Indian state-sponsored repression in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), including extrajudicial killings, arbitrary detentions, demographic engineering and gross violations of human rights. He termed the continued silence of the international community over these atrocities as deeply troubling and a serious matter of concern for the global conscience.Syedaal Khan emphasized that the Senate of Pakistan has consistently acted as the voice of the Kashmiri people at all forums and will continue to do so in the future. He reiterated that Pakistan considers the Kashmiri struggle fully legitimate in accordance with United Nations resolutions, international law and universal human values. He urged the international community, particularly the United Nations and global human rights organizations, to fulfill their moral and legal responsibilities by taking concrete notice of the ongoing human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.He further stated that Kashmir Solidarity Day reflects the collective national consciousness and unwavering commitment of the Pakistani people, who have always stood shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in every difficult time. Whether in the face of natural disasters or humanitarian crises, the people of Pakistan, the government and the armed forces have consistently demonstrated practical solidarity with the Kashmiri people.The Acting Chairman underscored that no political differences within Pakistan have ever undermined the national consensus on the Kashmir issue. He described Kashmir as a national cause on which all political parties, Parliament, the armed forces and the people of Pakistan are united. He stressed that a just and lasting resolution of the Kashmir dispute is indispensable for sustainable peace in the region.Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment, Syedaal Khan stated that Pakistan will continue to support the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination on diplomatic, political and moral fronts with full resolve. He expressed confidence that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people will not go in vain and that the day is not far when they will breathe freely in an atmosphere of peace and freedom.Concluding his message, he said that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan, and the hearts of the Pakistani nation beat in unison with the people of Kashmir. “Pakistan stood with the Kashmiri people in the past, stands with them today, and will continue to stand with them in the future,” he added.
