MARDAN: The Board of Directors of the Water and Sanitation Services Company Mardan (WSSCM) has approved audit manual after nine years. In the meeting new revenue streams and expansion of the company to Sheikh Maltoon Town has also been approved.
The BoD 74th meeting held under the chairmanship of Chairman BoD Engineer Adil Nawaz while members Javed Hussain, Mubina Raziuddin, CEO Shahid Khan, Regional Municipal Officer Zeeshan Arif, and Additional Assistant Commissioner Tanvir Shahzad attended the meeting while Section Officer Local Government Azam Khan and Budget Officer Finance Department Qazi Zia Ur Rahman participated in the meeting through Zoom. In the meeting it was decided to launch a social media campaign for the company’s slogan.
The BoD also approved the minutes of the previous meeting and focused on strengthening internal controls, improving public service delivery, and ensuring financial sustainability.
Speaking on the occasion Chairman Engineer Adil Nawaz paid tribute to the members of the Audit Committee on the making of Audit Manual and stated that it is praiseworthy to make manual during the short period of time.
The chairman also announced the implementation of accountability system, granting the CEO full authority to ensure performance based policy within the company.
The CEO was directed to expedite measures to enhance revenue, which would directly impact the quality and reach of services provided to citizens.
Additionally the board approved the inclusion of Sheikh Maltoon Town in WSSCM’s jurisdiction for water supply and sanitation.
