Women’s Empowerment and Nation-Building Workshop at FJWU Inspires Action

Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) successfully hosted an Awareness Raising Workshop on “The Role of Women in Nation Building,” in collaboration with the National Commission on the Status of Women. The workshop underscored the critical role women play in Pakistan’s socio-economic development and provided strategies to empower them.

Honorable Mr. Rana Mashood, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, praised FJWU’s contributions to women’s education and highlighted initiatives such as “Women on Wheels.” Prof. Dr. Uzaira Rafique, Vice Chancellor of FJWU, emphasized the university’s legacy in empowering women through academic excellence.

A range of guest speakers provided valuable insights, including sessions on the ethics of disagreement, stress management, women’s rights, and resilience in the face of adversity. The workshop inspired participants to take leadership roles in society, contributing to national progress and gender equality.
