ATTOCK (NNP) The local administration of Hazro on Thursday assured notables and representatives of social society to address civic problems especially improvement of drainage system, improvement road structure, availability of specialists doctors at tehsil headquarters hospital and measures to coup with urban flooding during monsoon season. This assurance was made by officials of local administration led by assistant commissioner Hazro Rana Kamran Ashraf to a 15-member delegation notables and representatives of social society led by Chhachh Muhafiz Committee (CMC) Chief Khalid Khan, Chairman Naseer Jadoon and Senior Vice Chairman Nisar Ali Khan. The delegation apprised the officials of local administration about the civic and public problems faced by the population of tehsil Hazro and its adjourning area. AC Kamran Ashraf has said that to coup with the drainage problem, the community support is need of the hour and with public support, the local administration alone not able to address the situation. He said that necessary funds would also be extracted to launch mega drainage system in the city to address the issue for permanent bases. Responding to another demand related to tehsil headquarters hospital, he said that the district administration as well as member district monitoring committee and former provincial Minister Jahangir Khanzada is also in interaction with the provincial and district health authorities to transfer specialist doctors at the hospital so that better health facilities would be provided to the masses at their door step. Mr Kamran has assured the delegation that cleanliness and desilting of drainage and sewerage lines of the urban areas of the tehsil would be completed before end of this month. The assistant commissioner also assured delegation about strict action against the illegal profiteers and violators of official price list. He said that with the collaboration of district officer Industries, Prices, Weights & Measures Department and price magistrates, a crackdown would also be launched against illegal mini petrol pumps illegally operating in densely populated area.
