LAHORE: In a significant development, Muhammad Hanif Malik, a prominent member of the Kashmir Council and a central leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), has been appointed to the party’s Central Working Committee (CWC). The CWC, which is the highest decision-making body of the PML-N, comprises 147 members from across Pakistan, including representatives from Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The latest CWC meeting, held at the PML-N central secretariat in Model Town, saw the attendance of key party figures including Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif and party leader Mian Nawaz Sharif. During the session, Shehbaz Sharif was appointed as the acting president of the PML-N through a show of hands.
