Turkey-Israel Trade Declines Amid Gaza Conflict

As tensions escalate in the Gaza region, Turkey’s trade relations with Israel have taken a noticeable hit, with bilateral trade volume dropping by 33% since October 7th. Trade Minister Omar Bulat revealed these figures in an exclusive interview with private broadcaster 24 TV, shedding light on the significant decrease in both exports and imports between the two countries.

Minister Bulat emphasized that public institutions and state-owned companies refrain from engaging in business with Israel, reinforcing Turkey’s stance on the Palestinian cause. He vehemently denied rumors circulating on social media alleging Turkey’s involvement in arms sales to Israel, attributing such claims to fringe political elements and terrorist organizations utilizing fake accounts to propagate malicious campaigns.

In response to accusations regarding arms trade, Minister Bulat reiterated Turkey’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the nation’s efforts on the international stage. Despite challenges and misinformation, Turkey remains steadfast in its commitment to advocating for justice and peace in the region.
