Islamabad (NNP) Pakistan and Russia convened to discuss enhancing trade connectivity and maximizing bilateral trade potential. During the meeting between Russian Ambassador Albert Khorev and Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan in Islamabad, Minister Jam Kamal stressed the importance of exploring new trade routes and avenues. He praised the successful initiation of Kinnow exports to Russia by road and expressed interest in further expanding trade, particularly in the agricultural sector. Ambassador Khorev extended an invitation to Minister Jam Kamal for upcoming exhibitions scheduled in April and July. In efforts to broaden trade horizons, the ambassador proposed the export of Halal meat from Pakistan to Russia. Minister Jam Kamal also raised concerns about visa issues faced by Pakistani truck drivers, prompting discussions for resolution. Additionally, the Russian ambassador expressed interest in hosting the 9th session of the Inter-Governmental Commission (IGC) in Moscow at the earliest opportunity.
