The Sui companies have requested significant tariff hikes, with SNGPL proposing a staggering 147% increase and SSGCL seeking an 18.71% hike for the fiscal year 2024-25. SNGPL aims to raise tariffs by Rs 475.95 per MMBTU to address a projected revenue shortfall of Rs 189.179 billion, while SSGCL plans to increase tariffs by Rs 274.40 per MMBTU due to a projected shortfall of Rs 56.692 billion. Both companies have cited the need to cover costs of gas, operations, and returns on assets. OGRA will conduct public hearings on these petitions to determine their approval.
