Mushaal inaugurates NHSD cultural & craft festival, praises vision for women empowerment and national development
Chairperson Peace and Culture Organisation and former SAPM on Human Rights & Women Empowerment, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, inaugurated the grand Cultural & Craft Festival organized by Network for Human and Social Development (NHSD).
ISLAMABAD, May 15 (APP):Chairperson Peace and Culture Organisation and former SAPM on Human Rights & Women Empowerment, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, inaugurated the grand Cultural & Craft Festival organized by Network for Human and Social Development (NHSD) and praised the organization’s efforts toward women empowerment, children’s education, disaster relief management, technical vocational training, and economic upliftment.
The vibrant festival featured diverse cultural and philanthropic stalls representing Kashmir, Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Kashmiri paper mâché art, embroidered handicrafts, traditional clothing, food stalls, women-led startups, and products developed by emerging entrepreneurs from across Pakistan, said a press release here on Friday.
The event also included free medical eye camps and participation from several renowned welfare organizations. Organizers shared that proceeds from the stalls would contribute toward charitable and humanitarian initiatives undertaken by NHSD.

Addressing the ceremony, Mushaal Hussein Mullick congratulated NHSD for creating a platform that beautifully merged culture, compassion, entrepreneurship, and social welfare. She emphasized that empowering women through education, vocational opportunities, and economic independence is essential for the future development and stability of Pakistan.
Mushaal Hussein Mullick was also presented with an award in recognition of her services for women empowerment, human rights advocacy, and social welfare.
During her speech, she paid tribute to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his leadership and vision during Marqa e Haq and highlighted the importance of national unity, resilience, and humanitarian values in strengthening Pakistan’s future.
She also spoke about the ongoing humanitarian suffering in Kashmir and reiterated her appeal for the release of jailed Kashmiri leader Mohammad Yasin Malik and other political prisoners through the Awami Rabta Mohim.
She stated that peace, justice, cultural harmony, and social empowerment must go hand in hand to build a stronger and more compassionate Pakistan.
