German Ambassador Visits Darbar Mohra Sharif, Highlights Interfaith Harmony and Education

Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Pakistan, Ina Lepel, visited the historic Darbar Mohra Sharif in Rawalpindi, where she met the custodian of the shrine, Pir Mujtaba Farooq Gull.During the visit, the German envoy was briefed on the shrine’s rich spiritual heritage and its ongoing social welfare initiatives. Darbar Mohra Sharif, a 200-year-old Sufi centre, is widely known for promoting universal values including humanity, peace, interfaith harmony, education, tolerance, justice, women empowerment, and countering violence and extremism.Ambassador Ina Lepel also toured the Mohra Sharif Library, historical archives, and the Mazar, where she observed efforts to preserve cultural heritage, rare manuscripts, and historical records reflecting the region’s spiritual and cultural history.Later, she visited the affiliated educational institution, Al Farooq Islamic and Modern Studies, where she interacted with students and stressed that quality and skilled education plays a crucial role in making Pakistan stable and prosperous.Following the visit, Chairman Helping First Welfare, Sahabzada Omer Farooq Gull, expressed gratitude to the German Ambassador for visiting the holy shrine and for appreciating its spiritual, educational, and welfare services.
