A high-level parliamentary delegation of the Senate of Pakistan, led by Deputy Chairman Senator Syedal Khan Nasar, will pay an official visit to the United States from January 20 to 25, 2026, marking a significant development in Pakistan–US parliamentary relations.The visit, being facilitated by the Pakistan Policy Institute USA, is being described as a milestone in parliamentary diplomacy. For the first time, a formal US–Pakistan Inter-Parliamentary Group (IPG) will take part in the engagements, reflecting growing institutional cooperation between the two legislatures and a shared commitment to democratic dialogue.The delegation’s visit comes at a time of major regional and global shifts, particularly in South Asia and the Middle East, where parliamentary institutions are increasingly playing a role in conflict resolution, political stability and democratic governance.According to official sources, the primary objective of the visit is to establish a structured and sustained channel of dialogue between the US Congress and the Senate of Pakistan.
