UAJK Leads AJK Universities in Laptop Distribution for Youth Empowerment

MUZAFFARABAD, Dec 26: In a significant boost to digital learning and academic empowerment, the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) has emerged as the top recipient of laptops under the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Programme formally launched by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at a ceremony held at UAJK on other day.With 559 laptops allocated, UAJK received the largest share among AJK universities, highlighting its position as a leading institution in the region.Other universities received laptops as follows: Mirpur University of Science & Technology (471), University of Poonch (467), University of Kotli (383), and Women University Bagh (190). The distribution targeted merit-based top-performing students, providing them with vital tools to excel in academics, research, and digital learning.Students who received the laptops expressed enthusiasm and gratitude. One student remarked, “This laptop is not just a device; it’s a doorway to global knowledge and opportunities.” Another noted, “It will help me stay connected with online learning platforms and enhance my research capabilities, opening new avenues for my studies.”The initiative is seen as a transformative step in bridging the digital divide and empowering students across AJK.
