French PM Sébastien Lecornu Survives Two No-Confidence Motions

French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu, appointed by President Emmanuel Macron, has managed to retain his government despite facing two separate no-confidence motions in parliament.

The first motion was tabled by the left-wing party France Insoumise, but it failed to secure the required majority. The second attempt, brought forward by the far-right National Rally party, also fell short of the necessary votes.

According to political analysts, Lecornu’s ability to withstand both challenges has given his government temporary stability. However, with a fragmented parliament and no clear majority, the administration is expected to face continued political hurdles in the coming months.
