62 Power Pilfers Arrested Dozens Connections Disconnected 

16.7 Million Fine Charged To Electricity Thieves In September

October 06,2025 In compliance with the special directives of the Federal Government of Pakistan and Ministry of Energy (Power Division), the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has intensified it on going crackdown against electricity theft. Dedicated IESCO teams are conducting day and night nonstop operations across multiple areas of IESCO. The Chief Executive IESCO Eng. Ch. Khalid Mahmood said that electricity thieves not only inflict heavy losses to country economy but also violating the rights of honest and law-abiding customers who are regularly paying their Electricity bills.

IESCO Chief Executive briefed that during the month of September 2025 our operations teams checked 82979 meters, 39 meters were found tempered, while electricity direct supply was taken from 174 meters. IESCO teams charged 318000 units to culprits and 16.7 million fine charged to electricity pilfer. Police also arrested 62 electricity thieves and dozens of meter removed.
