Uzbekistan Trade Delegation Visits RCCI to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Rawalpindi (NNP) A high-level trade delegation from Uzbekistan, headed by Mr. Bakhrom Yusupov, Commercial Attaché, Tukhtaev Akobirjon Khakimovich, Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, , visited the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) to explore trade and investment opportunities in key sectors including textiles, leather, agriculture, fisheries, fertilizers, and commerce. He invited Pakistani businesses to tap into Uzbekistan’s emerging markets and investment-friendly climate.

The delegation included representatives from major organizations such as the Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, the Uzbek Textile and Leather Associations, as well as prominent private enterprises.

Tukhtaev Akobirjon Khakimovich gave a comprehensive overview of Uzbekistan’s economy, highlighting investment prospects in the energy and chemical industries, and emphasizing the country’s improved global connectivity through air, road, and rail logistics.

RCCI President Usman Shaukat warmly welcomed the delegation and underscored the strong potential for enhancing trade relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. He emphasized collaboration in sectors such as energy, pharmaceuticals, textiles, agriculture, chemicals, and tourism, and stressed the need to facilitate joint ventures and investments through practical steps like direct flights, streamlined visa processes, and sector-specific data exchange. He also acknowledged the support of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and the RCCI Ease of Doing Business Committee in facilitating this impactful visit.

RCCI Senior Vice President Khalid Farooq Qazi, Vice President Fahad Barlas, former presidents, executive committee members, and a large number of RCCI members. The visit concluded with productive B2B sessions, aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and opening new avenues of partnership between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
