The funeral of civilization and the idol of “ego”

Our society has reached a point where “ego” has been considered a substitute for masculinity, we are living in such a hypocritical atmosphere where words are seemingly as soft as silk, but the thought hidden behind them is no less than a rusty dagger. Here, violence is not just about putting nails on the body, but crushing the soul through language and behavior has become a real art. When it is said amidst laughter in gatherings that “If the wife does not listen, then slapping is the right”, then in fact we are cultivating an ignorant ideology that ruins generations.

The cloak of patience and exploitation of daughters The tragedy is that when a conscious father or brother objects to this thought, society comes out with the cloak of expediency. Relatives exhort “patience” in such a way that is actually “silent massacre”. The daughter is made to believe that now your voice, your identity and your parents have all faded into the background. Is marriage a sacred relationship or a complete purchase of a human being? Why is feeding her or keeping her in the house presented as a favor? This attitude is not an advertisement of a civilized society but an advertisement of mental degradation. A misconception that is being presented in the name of masculinity in today’s era is actually a cloak of ignorance. Violence, humiliation and threats can never be bravery. When a man’s tongue becomes a weapon, his saying “I did not raise my hand” is just a lie. We have advanced in appearance and material development, but our thinking is still imprisoned in the degradations of the era of ignorance. We call customs like “Wani” bad, but we call the “silent slavery” going on in homes as sacred. We request the authorities that this pen-based effort is not just a voice but a decade in the name of the President, Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Punjab. The state must now intervene to eliminate this silent poison spreading in the society. Educational emergency: The Ministry of Education should include compulsory subjects of “ethics and human rights” in the curriculum of schools and colleges so that the new generation can be told that respecting women is not weakness, but high potential. The Supreme Court and High Courts should establish special cells for cases where daughters’ lives are ruined not through physical but through psychological abuse and emotional blackmail.

The government should run a campaign through the media that highlights the true concept of “masculinity” (protection and respect) and not dominance and oppression. Fathers can no longer remain silent spectators, nor can daughters be “patience training grounds”. When deciding on a relationship, choose “thinking” before looking at wealth, property and bank balance. If the thinking is sick, wealth can only brighten this sorrow, it cannot end it. If today we do not socially boycott these “so-called claimants to masculinity” and do not uproot their ideas, tomorrow our homes will become silent graveyards. The first step to reform is to call wrong wrong, no matter how “normal” it may have become.
