The Peshawar High Court suspended the decision of the Election Commission pending the decision of the case while hearing the petition of the PTI against the decision of the Election Commission to declare the intra-party elections null and void and withdraw the party symbol.
After the arguments were completed, the Supreme Court issued a stay order on the decision of the Election Commission and said in its order that the decision of the Election Commission will be suspended until the case is decided.
Justice Kamran Hayat Mian Khel heard the petition in the Peshawar High Court against the Election Commission’s decision to declare PTI’s intra-party elections null and void.
After the arguments were completed, the court issued a restraining order on the decision of the Election Commission.
The court, while issuing the injunction, remarked that the decision of the Election Commission will be suspended until the case is decided.
The Peshawar High Court also remarked that the case should be heard in a double bench first after the vacations are over.

During the hearing, PTI lawyers Ali Zafar, Barrister Gohar Khan and Babar Awan came to the rostrum.
PTI’s lawyer Ali Zafar argued that the Election Commission has exceeded its authority, PTI was asked to hold elections within 20 days, intra-party elections were held on December 3, the Election Commission agreed. PTI’s Election Symbol Was Blaa, Will Remain Blaa: Babar Awan
On this occasion, Babar Awan while talking to the media in Peshawar High Court said that PTI’s election symbol was uncalled and will remain uncalled.
He says that PTI founders were and will remain chairman, challenging the Election Commission’s decision.
Babar Awan has said that the Supreme Court is also going to file a contempt of court case.
He said that the Supreme Court has said that whoever obstructs the election, a case of contempt of court will be filed against him.
Babar Awan also says that pre-poll ragging is happening with PTI in Punjab, even the nomination papers were taken away from the candidates.
