According to media reports, Supreme Court Judge Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi has resigned from his post. In this regard, Supreme Court Judge Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi has sent his resignation to the President of the State, Dr. Arif Alvi, in which he said that It was an honor for me that I performed duties in Lahore High Court and Supreme Court but now it is not possible for me to continue working in my post.
It has been reported that Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi has denied the allegations against him, in this regard Justice Mazahir Naqvi has submitted a response to the show cause notice to the Supreme Judicial Council, Justice Mazahir Naqvi has requested to dismiss the complaints and end the proceedings. He replied that the council can take information against the judge but cannot act on any complaint. The orders issued by the Supreme Judicial Council are tantamount to violating the rules. has no role in the proceedings.
In reply, he said that the Pakistan Bar had a meeting with the then Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on February 21. The summoning order is against the law, the allegation is totally false that anyone can approach me easily, there is no abuse of authority or misconduct.
It is known that Justice Mazahar Naqvi also objected to the appointment of Attorney General as a prosecutor, he said that there is also a complainant in the council, Pakistan Bar Council, Attorney General is the chairman of the complainant Pakistan Bar Council, complaints of bar councils are political. And they have been filed at the behest of the PDM government, Ghulam Mehmood Dogar could not have set the case before himself, it is an administrative matter, he had not given any kind of relief in the case.
In response, he also said that it is a settled principle in the Justice Faiz Isa case that the Judicial Council cannot take action on the issue of children. Status is irrelevant.
