South Korean Ambassador Park Ki-jun Visits Sialkot, Emphasizes Strengthening Bilateral Trade and Collaboration

Sialkot( staff reporter) Ambassador of the People’s Republic of South Korea to Pakistan Park Ki-jun visited the production units of surgical imports to Korea.  Park Ki-jun Ambassador of the People’s Republic of South Korea posted in Pakistan, told CEO (ARSA) Amjad Javed along with Assistant Public Diplomacy Officer Yoon Jeong while visiting the production units of surgical imports to Korea that South Korea trades with Pakistan. Desiring to put the relationship on a strong footing to enable increase in trade volume between the two countries as South Korea is the best market for Pakistani products, Mohammad Amjad Javed said that international quality surgical products in Sialkot, Leather wear, sports goods, motorcycle apparel are produced along with hockey, cricket gear while Sialkot’s soccer is played in the football world cup which is an example of Sialkot’s quality products and skilled labor , Ali Javed, Saqib Ahmed, Hamid Hussain and Junaid Aftab were also present on this occasion. Earlier The Ambassador Republic of Korea Mr Park Ki Jun has said that South Korea and Sialkot could explore many new avenues to further enhance the bilateral trade. While addressing to the local businessmen at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Imdustry (SCCI) Mr Park Ki Jun also said that Sialkot was an export hub of Pakistan with its quite vibrant and active small and medium entrepreneurs (SMEs) sector and mutual expertise of both, South Korea and Sialkot, could be highly beneficial for them. He praised the global admiration for a wide range of products manufactured in Sialkot primarily for their top quality and durability. The Ambassador assured the local businessmen his full support and cooperation in facilitating the local business delegations visiting South Korea. Mr Park Ki Jun said that South Korea and Pakistan had been enjoying quite cordial and friendly ties for the last several decades but there was ample room for the promotion of bilateral trade. The president SCCI Abdul Ghafoor Malik emphasized on the importance of establishing future avenues for mutual growth and prosperity by enhancing bilateral cooperation in various sectors. He suggested that active exchange of trade delegations would create new business opportunities. He said that the SCCI had planned a delegation to South Korea this year and sought support for the visa processing and business matchmaking events. He also stressed the need to strengthen ties between the chambers of commerce in Pakistan and South Korea, recommending the issuance of long-term business visas to Pakistani exporters. Mr Yeonjeong Yoo, was also with the ambassador. Later on Park Ki Jun with the president SCCI visited the Business Facilitation Center (BFC) Sialkot.Manager Syed Haider provided information regarding the center to the delegation at the business center.
