ISLAMBAD (City Reporter) The 13th death anniversary of popular poet Bashir Hussain Nazim, father of young poet Mahmood Ahmed Zaman and senior member of National Press Club Mehtab Bashir, will be observed with devotion today, June 17. A group prayer will be offered at his residence after Quran recitation. Renowned poet Bashir Hussain Nazim passed away on June 17, 2012. His poetry in many languages including Urdu, Persian, English, Arabic and Punjabi still enhances the glory of poets. These days, Ahmed Mahmood-uz-Zaman is compiling his father’s poetry under the name “Kaliyat Nazim”, which will be published this year. Bashir Hussain Nazim, who was immersed in the love of the Prophet (PBUH), spent his entire life in the promotion of knowledge, service to the people and patronage of youth.
