Islamabad: Prof. Dr. Atif Hafeez Siddiqui has been elected as the Central President of the Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) for the term 2024-26. He is the 24th Central President of PIMA, which was established in 1979.
He took the oath of office during the 27th Biennial Central Convention of PIMA held in Karachi. Currently, he serves as the Head of Department and Professor of ENT at Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi.
A graduate of Sindh Medical College (1988), Dr. Siddiqui has been a member of PIMA since 1992 and has held various organizational responsibilities, including being a member of the Central Executive Council (CEC), In-charge of Continuing Medical Education (CME), and President of PIMA Karachi.
Additionally, a 42-member Central Executive Council was elected on this occasion, comprising 13 members from Sindh, 10 from KPK, 7 from Central Punjab, 4 from South Punjab, 3 from North Punjab, 2 from Balochistan, 2 from Azad Kashmir, and 1 from Gilgit Baltistan.
