Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Historic Visit to Saudi Arabia Strengthens Bilateral Ties

ISLAMABAD (NNP) Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif embarked on a significant three-day visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today, marking his first foreign trip since assuming office. Accompanied by a delegation comprising key ministers, including those for Foreign Affairs, Defence, Economic Affairs, Finance, and Information, the Prime Minister’s agenda is packed with engagements aimed at bolstering the longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Upon arrival, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif wasted no time and proceeded to perform Umrah and offer prayers at the revered Masjid Nabwi, demonstrating the deep spiritual connection between the two nations. His visit holds great significance as it signifies Pakistan’s commitment to further enhancing cooperation and collaboration with the Kingdom.

 

A highlight of the visit is the anticipated meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar confirmed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif opted for commercial flight travel, showcasing a sense of fiscal responsibility by bearing the expense of the tour from his own pocket, along with members of the accompanying delegation.
