Muzaffarabad (NNP) In a landmark gesture of support, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has announced a historic package of 23 billion rupees for the people of Azad Kashmir. The announcement, made during the Prime Minister’s visit to Muzaffarabad, underscores Pakistan’s enduring commitment to the region.
Ms. Nisara Abbasi, Advisor to the Azad Kashmir Government on Services and General Administration, highlighted that this significant financial package, unprecedented in its swift allocation, has already been transferred to the government’s account, ensuring immediate benefits for the people.
“The entire Kashmiri nation is grateful to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif for this generous package,” Ms. Abbasi said while addressing a public delegation from Constituency Three. She emphasized that this financial support is a testament to Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the people of Azad Kashmir, which has been consistently demonstrated during times of crisis, including the devastating earthquake of October 8.
Ms. Abbasi also expressed her deep sorrow over the recent tragic incidents in Azad Kashmir that resulted in the loss of lives. She criticized the Indian media for misreporting these events, affirming that the issue has been resolved in alignment with the wishes of the people, through collaboration between the governments of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.
“India’s false propaganda cannot sway the loyalties of the Kashmiris or deceive the international community. Our hearts beat with our Pakistani brothers and sisters, and the destiny of Kashmiris is intertwined with Pakistan,” she asserted.
The adviser assured that the Government of Azad Kashmir, with the support of Pakistan, remains dedicated to the region’s development and the welfare of its people. “Our primary focus is on transforming Azad Kashmir into a prosperous welfare state,” she concluded.
This historic financial package is seen as a significant step towards the socio-economic development of Azad Kashmir, reflecting the strong bonds of fraternity and support between the people of Azad Kashmir and Pakistan.
