Muzaffarabad(PID AJK)Prime Minister Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq, while reiterating his commitment to eliminate the scourge of regionalism, financial malfeasance, corruption and nepotism from society, has said that he would spare no efforts in rooting out the decades old status quo.Prime Minister Haq  expressed these views while addressing at the inauguration ceremony of Shah Sultan Burj here today.Speaking on the occasion, the PM said that his sole mission was to serve the masses. “Rather than making announcements I prefer to see things happen on the ground”, he said, adding that things have begun to change and this change can be visible on the ground soon as the coalition government had taken a number of initiatives to correct the system and improve governance in the state.”A lot of improvement will be seen on the ground by the end of June”, he said, adding that the government has done a lot of work to improve education, health, hydel and tourism sectors. “Additional thirty kanals of land has been provided to  Abbas Institute of Medical Sciences”, he said, adding that Ambor area would be converted into a health city.He said that so far 43 billion rupees have been spent on different development projects in Azad Kashmir. ” Three billion rupees have been saved through e-tendering”, he added.”Development projects worth over one billion rupees would be launched in each constituency by the end of the financial year”, the PM said.The Prime Minister said that those who commit corruption and loot the resources of the state would be held accountable. He said that TEVTA has been given a deadline for starting technical courses for the youth by the end of March 15. So far as the performance of the government and transparency in construction of public projects is concerned, the PM said that along with prime minister his cabinet members were accountable and answerable to every citizen.”If we want to join the ranks of developed nations, we have to break the status quo”, he said.
The PM said that the Public Service Commission, Accountability Bureau and Anti-Corruption have been made active. The government, he said, has doubled the budget for medicines. Serving humanity, he said, was his first and foremost priority.He said that along with the development of Azad Kashmir, the government will continue its efforts to strengthen the freedom movement in Occupied Kashmir and fulfill the dream of our forefathers to join Pakistan. On this occasion Senior Most Minister Colonel Retired Waqar Ahmed Noor, Opposition Leader Khawaja Farooq Ahmed, Ministers Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Sardar Javed Ayub, Raja Muhammad Siddique Khan, Diwan Ali Khan Chagatai, Nisar Ansar Abdali, Akmal Sargala, Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, Chaudhry Muhammad Rashid, Chaudhry Yasir Sultan, Javed Butt, Faheem Akhtar Rabbani, Malik Muhammad Zafar and others were present.
