ISLAMBAD (NNP) Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza paid a courtesy visit to President Asif Ali Zardari to extend his congratulations on assuming office.
During their meeting, both leaders engaged in discussions regarding professional and security matters. General Shamshad briefed the president on the current security landscape and the operational readiness of the armed forces, assuring that they are fully equipped to address both internal and external security challenges.
President Zardari, in turn, lauded the significant role played by the armed forces in protecting national borders and contributing to the country’s socio-economic advancement. He expressed confidence in the capability of the security forces to effectively handle security threats, both domestic and foreign.
The meeting underscored a shared commitment to combat terrorism through concerted efforts and national cooperation.
