Political and social leader Chaudhry Inaam Zafar said that the people have been burdened by inflation, fixed charges in Sui gas bills for domestic consumers, increase in gas prices for bulk consumers,the power sector and as well as a huge increase in the price of petroleum products will further increase everyone’s problems. The government urgently needs to review its decisions, it is feared that the current government will lose its mandate among the people in the upcoming elections. Expressing his reaction to the increase in gas prices by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), Chaudhry Inaam Zafar said that the government is going to detonate a new inflation bomb on the public and the industrial sector from July. The public is suffering from severe mental anxiety after the fixed charges of gas for protected consumers were increased from Rs 400 to Rs 600. Domestic consumers are already very unhappy with the government’s performance after receiving bills of thousands of rupees despite the non-availability of Sui gas. However, the remaining gap has been filled by increasing gas prices for bulk consumers, the power sector and industry. The industry, which is already facing problems, will face more problems. After which economic exploitation will increase further. He said that
as well as a huge increase in the price of petrol by Rs 8.36 per liter and diesel by Rs 10.39 per liter, will further increase everyone’s difficulties.Unemployment and lack of resources have already left the youth segment extremely disappointed. Chaudhry Inaam Zafar said that the speed with which the current government is implementing the conditions of international institutions and grinding its people in the mill of inflation, there is a fear that the government will lose its popularity among the people in the upcoming elections.
